NEET

NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test -UG) is an All India entrance exam conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in india offered by Medical/Dental college approved by the Medical Council of India/Dental Councilof india under the union ministry of health and family welfare, Government of india except for the institutions established through an act of parliament.

Till now the exam was being conducted by CBSC, however, from 2019 NEET UG will be held by the NTA (National Testing Agency).

From 2019, NEET UG will be conducted in a single session.

In March 2018, MCI (Medical Council of India) made NEET mandatory for medical aspirants planning to study abroad. Thus, any indian student planing to pursure medical studies abroad on or after June 1, 2018, was required to apply for and qualify in the NEET examination.

NEET UG was scrapped in 2013 but made a comeback for common medical entrance in india in 2016. NEET was held twice in 2016.
